Mumbai Police has recently arrested a staff of Breach Candy Hospital for allegedly filming a private video of the Deol family while they were in an emotional state while being around Dharmendra. The video started doing rounds on social media and went viral within minutes. In the video, Dharmendra was seen lying on the bed, while his family was visibly emotional.

The footage appeared deeply personal and netizens reacted to it negatively, as an intimate family moment should not have surfaced on social media. Following the incident, Sunny Deol lost his cool at the paparazzi for insensitive coverage during Dharmendra’s time at the hospital. He angrily said, “Aap logon ko sharam aayni chaiyeh… Aapke ghar mein maa-baap hain, bacche hain..video liye jaa rahe ho.. Sharam nahi aati…” (You should feel ashamed. You have parents and kids at home. You are still taking our videos shamelessly.)
A recent report by CNN-News18 has stated that the person who recorded the video has neither been detained nor arrested. As per the report, no action has been taken against the accused.
However, several other reports confirm that the perpetrator has indeed been arrested. According to HT City, the hospital management is also cooperating with the officials to enforce stricter privacy measures.

Dharmendra was admitted to the Breach Candy hospital on October 31 after he reportedly complained of breathlessness. He was discharged on November 12, 2025 as the hospital noted that his recovery will continue at home. His family also issued a statement confirming the same. It read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”
