The 2026 Golden Globe nominations have been released, with a few major snubs and surprise nominations raising a few eyebrows.
While Wicked received a massive six nominations in the 2025 awards, including for Best Picture, sequel Wicked: For Good has been snubbed in some major categories.
However, the stars of the film, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, have both received nominations.
Grande is up for Best Supporting Actress, while Erivo is nominated in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture category.
The film also scored two nominations for Best Original Song, as well as a nomination for the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.
Sydney Sweeney’s boxing biopic Christy didn’t score a single nomination, including for the actress herself.
Josh Safdie was also dealt a major blow after being snubbed from the Best Director category for Marty Supreme, starring Timothée Chalamet.
