Metro Boomin, the Atlanta producer whose fingerprints have been all over some of the biggest Hip Hop hits of the last few years, has launched his own record label.
In a statement, Metro said, “Launching Boominati Worldwide is the next step in my career as a producer, an artist, and a businessman. I created the label to represent a collective of highly gifted individuals who have the shared gift of being able to influence the world through culture and art.”
Boominati Worldwide will run in partnership with Republic Records and Universal Music Group.
It isn’t clear yet which artists Metro plans to sign to the label, but his career so far has shown that he’s capable of working alongside the highest pedigree.
Metro shared a photo on Instagram revealing some artwork for his new label, alongside the caption “It’s go time.”
He also shared something of a mission statement, writing: “Boominati Worldwide is about taking blessings and spreading them.”
The announcement follows hot on the heels of Metro dropping his latest collaboration — “No Complaints” with Drake and Offset.
