Brooke Hogan is putting lingering speculation to rest following the sudden passing of her father, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan. The 37-year-old singer and former reality star told TMZ on Wednesday, Aug. 27, that after personally reviewing evidence surrounding her father’s death — including viewing his body and listening to the 911 call — she no longer suspects any foul play.
Reviewing the Evidence
According to Brooke, the Clearwater Police Department invited her to examine the WWE Hall of Famer’s body as well as breakdown the 911 call placed by his wife, Sky Daily Hogan, on July 24, the day of his fatal heart attack. She also confirmed she had access to body lens footage and medical records that eased her earlier concerns.
“I got to see that an autopsy was indeed performed and that is what I came there to do,” Brooke explained. “A lot of those things put the pieces together.”
Brooke acknowledged that she had initially questioned her father’s cause of death and the absence of an autopsy report, but said the police clarified the process. “There’s so much red tape,” she said. “From what I understand, when it becomes a medical malpractice situation, it’s still considered a natural death.”

The Trauma of the 911 Call
What affected Brooke most deeply was hearing Sky’s desperate voice during the 911 call. She described the recording as far more difficult to process than even viewing her father’s body.
“Hearing Sky call 911 and hearing her voice was… how can I put this, probably 1,000 times worse for me than seeing my dad dead, honestly,” Brooke said. “You hear the pure love and panic and strife. It was very hard to digest and to listen to. I was putting on my best game face in the police officer’s office to not absolutely sob hearing it.”
She added that while she hopes the 911 call is never released publicly, she would “caution” anyone from listening to it if it does become available.
Remembering Hulk Hogan
Hogan — born Terry Gene Bollea — was laid to rest in Clearwater, Florida, on August 5, just 12 days after his death. The private funeral took place at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home, attended by close family and friends. Brooke chose not to attend, explaining in a heartfelt post that her father “hated the morbidity of funerals” and that she preferred to mourn him in private, in a way that made her feel closest to him.
After finally seeing his body, though, Brooke said she found comfort in the way her father was laid to rest. “He looked just like him,” she recalled. Dressed in a black suit and his signature bandana, Hulk Hogan’s appearance struck her as quintessentially him. “He looked like a badass. He looked like Hulk Hogan.”

Moving Forward
Though grief-stricken, Brooke said the opportunity to breakdown the evidence firsthand brought her a sense of closure. “I feel satisfied there was no foul play,” she concluded, acknowledging that while the loss remains painful, she immediately has peace of mind about her father’s final moments.
Hulk Hogan’s death shocked the sports and entertainment world, but for Brooke, the final image of her father remains one of strength, identity, and authenticity — “like Hulk Hogan, right until the very end.”
