Linda Hogan set aside months of public tension to pay tribute to her late ex-husband on Monday, honoring what would have been Hulk Hogan’s 72nd birthday with a deeply personal message and a rare glimpse into their early years together.
The former wife of the wrestling legend — who shared 26 years of marriage with him — posted a throwback photo from 1981, capturing the couple in a warm embrace during the early days of their romance.
“Me and Hulkster .. 1981. Happy Birthday, Terry .. I love and miss you so much ..” Linda wrote in the caption.

Speaking with TMZ Sports, Linda revealed the picture held extra meaning — it was taken on their very first birthday together as a couple. At the time, they were in Santa Monica, and Hulk had just gifted her a brand-new Canon DSLR, which they were excitedly testing out when the photo was snapped.
The heartfelt tribute comes despite the pair’s complicated history. Earlier this year, Linda broke down in tears on social media, describing her family situation as “the worst mess” and placing part of the blame on Hulk. She later softened her remarks, acknowledging that while he wasn’t perfect, he was a devoted father who always worked tirelessly to provide for his children.

Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, died on July 24 following a heart attack, according to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center. His 72nd birthday would have been August 11.
The loss has continued to spark public conversation within the Hogan family. His daughter, Brooke, appeared on “TMZ Live” last week to push back against what she called false narratives about her father’s final days.
For Linda, however, Monday was about something else entirely — remembering the man she once loved and the life they shared, putting aside grievances to say what she’s feeling most: “I love and miss you so much.”
