Sports reporter and host Taylor Rooks is finally addressing the viral moment from last year’s GQ Creativity Awards — and setting the record straight for everyone who thought they saw more than they were supposed to.
During an appearance on Unapologetically Angel with Angel Reese, Rooks opened up about the sheer green dress she wore to the event, which instantly became a popular topic online. Social media was quick to zoom in on screenshots and speculate that parts of her chest were fully visible through the fabric.
“Everyone online is like, ‘Oh my god, look at Taylor’s nipples,’” Rooks said, laughing. “I am not showing you my nipples!”
According to Rooks, what fans thought they saw wasn’t quite what they thought.
She explained that she had prepared for the bold outfit by wearing pasties underneath.
“I went to the GQ Creativity Awards, but the dress was a little bit sheer,” she told Reese. “So I put pasties on with the dress. Next thing I know, I go online and I’m popular. It was this whole thing… it was lit.”
