After three days of intense competitions at the 2025 DCI World Championships, that saw two best two corps, Bluecoats and Boston Crusaders, neck-and-neck we finally have a winner.
In their 85th year of competing, the Boston Crusaders won the 2025 DCI World Championship for their show “Boom.”

And The 2025 DCI World Champion Is …
For the first time ever, with a score of 98.425, The Boston Crusaders are the DCI World Champions in 2025. The Boston Crusaders are the first new corps to win the championship since 2016, when the Bluecoats won the championship.
The winner of the Best Color Guard award was presented to the Boston Crusaders. The Bluecoats are taking home the award for Best Visual Performance. The Boston Crusaders also added the Best Brass Award to their collection of awards so far. The Boston Crusaders also added the Fred Sanford Award for Best Percussion Section.
The Bluecoats won the award for Best Overall General Effect.

Arguably one of the most talented corps on the scene today, the Bluecoats of Canton, Ohio are the reigning World Champions and are already rumored to have one of the best productions they’ve ever put on. Santa Clara Vanguard Take The Field
Santa Clara Vanguard from Santa Clara, California finished sixth in last season’s World Championship Finals, and could very well rise to be within the best five if they continue to shine through the summer. One of the most successful corps in DCI history, the ensemble has won seven DCI World Championship titles between 1973 and 2018.

Blue Devils Take The Field
Placing third in both the DCI World Championship Semifinals and Finals in 2024, the Blue Devils out of Concord, California are primed to compete among the best once again this time around. The Blue Devils hold the record for the most Drum Corps International World Championship titles. The corps has won a total of 21 times, most recently in 2023.

Carolina Crown from Fort Mill, South Carolina kicks off the final six corps of DCI San Antonio. Carolina Crown has been a DCI finalist every year for more than two decades, earning its first World Championship title in DCI’s World Class division in 2013.

Blue Knights Take The Field
The Blue Knights of Denver, Colorado enter the 2025 season chasing a World Championships Finals appearance after being cut from the lineup in 2024. Recognized for innovation in visual design and contemporary programming, the Blue Knights have been a DCI World Championship finalist more than 20 times.

After performances from the INpact Band and U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, it’s time for the final day of competition to officially begin. The Blue Knights will kick off the action at 6:30 PM ET, and the Bluecoats will close out the show at 10:07 PM.
