Belly’s parents, Laurel and Adam, were hanging out together when Adam mentioned he was having a heartburn-like pain.

There are some prevailing fan theories that Adam could end up hospitalized with a heart issue, forcing Belly to reunite with the Fisher brothers (specifically, Conrad). In the same episode, Conrad mentions that he’s learning the cardiovascular system, so fans are wondering if the show’s creator, Jenny Han, is hinting that something could be wrong with Adam’s heart, and Conrad, who has been through med school, could be the one to help.

The finale of TSITP is set to drop on Prime Video on September 17! We’ll see if Belly ends up with Conrad, if she somehow reunites with Jeremiah, or, perhaps neither!
