
The official press conference of the Indian Film Festival was hosted in the presence of some of the most celebrated names from the Indian film industry alongside distinguished delegates from the Victorian Government. The event saw a glittering lineup of guests, including Aamir Khan, celebrated comedian Vir Das, Aditi Rao Hydari, Tillotama Shome and Jim Sarbh. It was also attended by filmmakers Shoojit Sircar, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and RS Prasanna, as well as casting director Mukesh Chhabra.
Opening up about the film festival, Aamir khan said, “It’s great to be here in Melbourne. I’m elated to be part of the Indian film festival of Melbourne. It’s a great initiative of cinema that brings people and cultures together. I’m certain the films and the filmmakers who are showcasing at the festival will have a great experience.”
Interestingly, the 16th edition of IFFM promises a great lineup of film screenings, special events, panel discussions and the annual flag-hoisting ceremony to commemorate India’s Independence Day. Take a look at the star-studded clicks from the press conference below:
