
EXCLUSIVE: Camila Perez, perhaps best known for her work on Apple TV+’s Acapulco, has signed with Gersh for representation in all areas.
Perez recently won an Imagen Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in Apple TV+’s Acapulco, and on October 24 will receive the Breakthrough Actress Award at the Critics Choice Celebration of Latino Cinema and Television in Los Angeles. Perez stars as “Julia” alongside Eugenio Derbez in the bilingual comedy, inspired by the 2017 feature How to Be a Latin Lover.
On television, Perez recurred as “Alison” opposite Nick Robinson and Kate Mara in FX’s A Teacher, and portrayed “Firefly” in Fox’s Gotham. Her additional credits include Netflix’s Social Distance, NBC’s The Blacklist, Starz’s Power, and Hulu’s The Path.
Her film credits include The Wilde Wedding (with Glenn Close, John Malkovich, and Patrick Stewart), Who We Are today (opposite Emma Roberts), The Social Ones (with Richard Kind and Peter Scolari), Low Tide (with Shea Whigham), The Drummer (opposite Danny Glover), and The Same Storm (directed by Peter Hedges, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival). Perez will next be seen in the independent feature Midnight, opposite Rosario Dawson, Milla Jovovich, and Alexandra Shipp.
Born in Medellín, Colombia, Perez moved to the United States at a young age and was raised in New York City. She is a dual U.S.–Colombian citizen, bilingual, and based in Brooklyn.
