The collaboration between Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough with French content creator Teo, or @kvtvrin63, has leveraged a substantial amount of hype for the new season. The hosting duo are learning some dance moves from the viral star as the video was recorded prior to the Season 34 premiere on 16 September 2023 on ABC and Disney Plus, with next-day episodes on Hulu. This is the third season that the two host together, underpinning Hough’s statement that “I couldn’t imagine doing this show without Alfonso.”

The promotional clip showed the hosts along with Teo. It seems that he impressed ABC so much with his dancing videos that they flew him in to “work on something amazing” for the new season. The backdrop has been pretty famous for social media trends and dancing, said Ribeiro and Hough while dancing and having a really good time through the choreography lesson. “We’re always leveling up and trying new things,” said Hough, complimenting the lighting, set design, and production crew.
Promos are meant to stir excitement; the absence of the cast list, however, generated a lot of frustration from viewers.
