The proud glint in Amber’s eyes was enough to set her off upon witnessing the loved one’s presence onstage. Davies was gushing about the talents of Joyce in the concert of ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ on Instagram: he was “in a league of his own.” The black-and-white candid photo showed the couple vying to display affection outside of the Prince Edward Theatre in London, with the hall’s marquee bearing the show’s title. Davies sat on Joyce’s lap, smiling with undisguised admiration- such moments are simple, pure joy, and support.

One really will not forget that one- night concert. “What a night, what a performance!” was her rant in the direction of everyone she could “tag” behind the production, including the Hunchback concert account and choreographer Jack Maple. Maple later commented himself to say that Joyce was “the definition of a leading man.” Another fan said, under the influence of the performance: “He is and was unreal.”
Joyce was not great at it for many others. More people lamented with Davies’ sister, Jadey, among the commentators: “Wish so badly that I got to see this!” Others were urging for a West End transfer. Another, who sang in the choir in a different production of the show, wrote, “I badly need it to come to the West End as a full production.”
There were genuine celebrations of the show and Joyce’s minor talent. Davies’ post truly became a mini-celebration, with all of her friends and supporters pumping him up. Personal adversary Adam Bailey even commented cheekily: “Hope your cry tissue and nail get home safe,” referring to the very likely emotional rollercoaster that must have been said performance.

For Davies, this isn’t just a night out-it is the moment of pride watching somebody she cares for shine in theirs. From all those comments popping up, one would say that not only does he meet expectations, but far surpasses them. There are arguments of whether or not this concert will proceed into a full revival; but one thing is for sure- Ben Joyce can carry the conversation, and they are certainly not ready to let the story of Quasi die in silence.
