Navarro-Cárdenas has truly given the Pittsburgh switchover to the South Florida Edition of The View. She has, for many years, been a host on this ABC talk show, which by tradition presented certain airs on WPLG Channel 10 and today will be premiere broadcasting on Channel 18. The change occurred over the summer, and the very Miami-bred Ana Navarro confirmed the news herself through a morning video, imploring the local viewers to tune in to the new channel.

In the video, she gave a “PSA for Miami people” along with her dog, Chacha, an explanation of the network change for the benefit of the old-timers who basically grew up with the show. “If you’re like me, if you’ve lived in Miami for decades, the view has always been on Channel 10 WPLG which has been an ABC affiliate. That changed during the summer,” she said. Ana then proceeded to reiterate the broadcast hour details in both English and Spanish before signing off with “¡Diesiocho!,” a phonetic spelling for the Spanish word “dieciocho” (eighteen), though a commenter dashed in to correct her.
The announcement was met with such vigor and passion, a great majority of them welcoming for the show’s return. One Miami neighbor said, “Ana we’re Miami neighbors love you Ana keep on doing what you do best and thank you for all that you do!” Yet another user expressed, politely, “I find it to be my number one “news source” and a “power hour.” Don’t care what anyone else thinks.”
Not all of the celebratory comments were in favor of the show; some quickly turned into venomous attacks since the show has become so divisive in the present political atmosphere. “75+ Million Americans could GAS!!! Let’s UN-VIEW the RADICAL VIEW!!!,” stated one angry viewer. Another responded to a celebratory post, “let me guess every day, five days a week, whining, complaining name, calling bitterness, anger, resentment, hatred for half the country….. quite the view.” An even harsher retort followed, “Fuck you Anna fuck you.”
Many politically charged comments made in the thread also took a very personal tone. One person asked for makeup advice: “Your beautiful… what is the magic you are using under your eyes?” Another weirdly asked if she was meeting for lunch with her “grand pa husband.” The comments section then descended into chaos with several nearly identical messages promoting the hashtag “#KATIETUTORIALSOFFICIAL__🏟,” presumably Nigerian spam.
A manifold of reactions is telling of how much of a prominent and, therefore, polarizing political commentator Navarro can be. Given used as an objective stance of unvarnished announcement, it ironically reflects a world of-singular-moment-for-Navarro: star-studded fans versus harsh detractors of the influential daytime talk show being broadcast every single day. The third channel move was just icing on the cake for sealing off the show’s partnership in the South Florida market for some time.

Moreover, Gavin Newsom has also become a frequently discussed topic in relation to political commentary, especially with the changing tides of viewership.
