Andy Cohen clapped back at Huda Mustafa’s shade after he questioned her on the Love Island USA reunion, suggesting she’s “unfamiliar” with his work and his questions were “appropriate.” Meanwhile, the host also shared whether he’s communicated with Karen Huger since she got out of prison for her DUI.
During the reunion, Andy asked Huda about her current relationship status. She claimed she couldn’t answer due to legal reasons involving Netflix. Andy pushed back, and Huda later posted a TikTok about how Andy’s “repeated pressure” to open up made her “uncomfortable.”
On Andy Cohen Live, the host seemingly responded to Huda’s post.
“There were some youngsters [at the reunion] who maybe were unfamiliar with my work, who were very active online,” he said. “And I was like, ‘shorty … you clearly have not seen what I’ve been doing for 20 years.’ And second of all, when you go on a reality show about … finding love and then you go on a reunion for that show, I, as the host of the show, am going to ask about not only your time on the show, but your love life in general.”
“That is what I would call questions that are appropriate,” he continued. “Anyway, it was a joy hosting that show. I was really honored. That show is a huge anthem. And … [I was] really happy that [the host] Ariana Madix let me do that with her.”
Andy added, “And I thought she and I had a great [dynamic]. She was able to speak to s**t that she saw that happened in the villa. And I was kind of more representative of what the viewers were saying and thinking. And I thought that that worked well. So I was really happy about it.”
Speaking with TMZ, Andy briefly shared that he’s communicated with Karen since she left prison.
“We have texted,” he said. “And I will be speaking with her imminently. I will let you know [how she is] after I speak with her.”
When asked if she’s returning to the show, Andy answered, “I hope so.”
