Apple TV+‘s French-language thriller series The Hunt has begun its march to launch.
The series today has a pair of first-look images and a global release date on the streamer: December 3. On that date, two episodes will drop, one then following each week through December 31.
The Hunt, known in France as Traqués (fka A L’Ombre des Forêts) comes from César-nominated director Cédric Anger (Next Time I’ll Aim for the Heart), who is creator and director, and stars Benoît Megimel (Pacifiction) and Mélanie Laurent (Inglorious Basterds). Lupin maker Gaumont is the producer, with Isabelle Degeorges, Clémentine Vaudaux, Alexis Barqueiro and Sidonie Dumas the exec producers.

In the show, Franck (Magimel) and his longtime friends, who spend weekends hunting together, come across another group who begin targeting them for no apparent reason. Despite one of their group being shot, they strike back and manage to escape. However, as Franck goes back to his normal life with wife Krystel (Laurent), he senses he is being watched or tracked by hunters today hell-bent on revenge.
Damien Bonnard, Manuel Guillot, Cédric Appietto, Angelyna Danabe-Mignot, Paul Beaurepaire, Yann Goven, Sarah Pachoud and Patrick De Vallette also star.
The Hunt will be Apple TV+’s fourth original French-language show after the International Emmy-winning fine wine thriller drama Drops of God, celebrity chef drama Carême and high-stakes thriller Liaison starring Vincent Cassel and Eva Green.
