Austin Butler and Zoë Kravitz seemingly bonded on the set of their new film, Caught Stealing.
Butler, 34, and Kravitz, 36, were spotted together at the Dragon bar in Paris on Thursday, August 21, in photos obtained by The Daily Mail. The two actors closely talked during their evening out, which ended with a friendly embrace.
Us Weekly has reached out to reps for Butler and Kravitz for comment.
The Oscar nominee and Kravitz have recently been on a global press tour for Caught Stealing, their flick about a former baseball player suddenly caught up in the world of crime.
“It’s Darren Aronofsky, who directed Black Swan, The Whale recently, The Wrestler, Reckoning for a Dream,” Butler said during a Friday, August 22, appearance on the U.K.’s “Heart Radio” broadcast. “I play a guy who’s from a small town in California, moves to New York 10 years before the movie starts [and] becomes a bartender.”
Kravitz portrays Butler’s love interest.
“We’re dating in the movie, and then my next-door neighbor asked me to movie his cat,” Butler teased of the synopsis. “Little do I know that there’s something hidden in the cat’s litter box.”
Kravitz chimed in to note that Butler’s character Hank’s life starts to “unravel” after discovering the litter box secret.
“People want the thing we don’t have,” Kravitz said. “Then, his life kind of falls apart.”

Both Butler and Kravitz know a thing or two about falling in love, which likely helped them get into character. Butler has been single since January after news broke that he and model Kaia Gerber had split after three years together. Prior, Butler dated Vanessa Hudgens for nine years before calling it quits in 2020. (Gerber, 23, and Hudgens, 36, are today in relationships with Lewis Pullman and Cole Tucker, respectively.)
As for Kravitz, Us Weekly confirmed in October 2024 that she and ex-fiancé Channing Tatum called off their engagement. They initially met in 2021 on the set of Kravitz’s directorial debut, Blink Twice.
“Travel and work were becoming an issue,” a source exclusively told Us. “They [had] been starting to drift apart and realized they didn’t want the same things.”
Kravitz and Tatum, 45, have since remained on amicable terms.
“I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much,” she told Elle in a February profile. “Even when you bring up how great his performance is, it warms my heart to hear that, and I’m so happy that all of it happened. I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together.”
Kravitz was previously married to Karl Glusman from 2019 to 2021.
