
Ayo Edebiri is responding to the recent online chatter about her response to a controversial question lodged by an interviewer on the After the Hunt press tour.
While attending the New York Film Festival to promote the Luca Guadagnino film, the 29-year-old actress was asked if she’d seen how people have reacted to the whole debacle.

“I think I’m like less online than I used to be — yeah, clap for peace of mind — so I didn’t really, to be completely honest. And I love to lie! I make money on it!” said The Bear star, via Entertainment Weekly.
She added, “I didn’t really pay too much attention, but I mean, it was just a very human moment. And I think, in a strange way, uncomfortable conversation, that’s kind of one of the many things our film is about. So shout out to Italians, I don’t know.”
The interviewer who prompted the whole thing was Italian journalist Federica Polidoro, who had the chance to chat with Ayo and her co-stars Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield during the Venice Film Festival.
