While speaking to his hosting gig and why he’s not also serving as the musical guest, like he did back in 2023 during his last time on the show, he noted that he was tired from his residency.
“I’m still kind of tired because the shows are three hours long, and there’s a lot of complicated choreography, like this,” he joked before the viral clip of him jumping on stage and he hurt his knee played.
Bad Bunny also touched on his upcoming Super Bowl performance and the backlash the news faced from Fox News and conservatives.
“I’m very happy, and I think everyone is happy about it, even Fox News,” he said, before a video played where different clips were cut together to praise him, saying, “Bad Bunny is my favorite musician, and he should be the next president.”
Benito then continued, “I’m very excited to be doing the Super Bowl and I know that people all around the world who love my beat are also happy.”
He then addressed fans in Spanish, saying, “Especially all of the Latinos and Latinas in the world here in the United States who have worked to open doors. It’s more than a win for myself, it’s a win for all of us. Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it.”
After he concluded, he returned to speaking in English and said, “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn.”
