
Broadway‘s upcoming Beetlejuice The Musical return has found its cast, with most of the performers from the show’s national tour intact, including Justin Collette in the title role.
The New York staging at The Palace is the final stop on the touring company’s itinerary, and marks the third time the musical will open on Broadway (the show originally opened in 2019 at Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre and then again, post-pandemic shutdown, in 2022 at the Marquis Theatre.
Performances for the 13-week exclusive engagement begin Wednesday, October 8, and run through January 3, 2026.
The cast for the upcoming production includes Collette (School of Rock) as Beetlejuice, Isabella Esler as Lydia (with Madison Mosley taking the role in select performances; both actors have played Lydia on tour), Will Burton (Hello, Dolly!) as Adam, Megan McGinnis (Side Show) as Barbara, Jenni Barber (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) as Delia, Jesse Sharp (Beetlejuice tour) as Charles, Vanessa Aurora Sierra (A Beautiful Noise) as Miss Argentina, Patrick Oliver Jones (The Addams Family tour) as Otho, Travis Mitchell (Beetlejuice tour) as Maxie Dean, Sharone Sayegh (Come From Away) as Maxine Dean/Juno, and Emilia Tagliani (Beetlejuice tour) as shorty Scout.
The ensemble will feature Sophie Aknin, Michael Biren, Ryan Breslin, Jonathan Bryant, Marc Barron Ginsburg, Katie Griffith, Eric Anthony Johnson, Maya Kazzaz, Matthew Kurzyniec, Kenway Hon Wai K Kua, Mateo Melendez, and Lexie Dorsett Sharp.
The musical is based on Tim Burton’s 1988 film and tells the story of Lydia Deetz, “a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes.” The director is Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge!), with an original score by Eddie Perfect (King Kong), a book by Scott Brown (Castle Rock) & Anthony King (Broad City), choreography by Connor Gallagher (The Robber Bridegroom), and track supervision, orchestrations and incidental track by Kris Kukul (Joan of Arc: Into the Fire).
