Before the Fisher boys, there was the Scott brothers, fighting over a rebellious blonde cheerleader while playing for the same basketball team and addressing their daddy issues.

And Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah would not be the same without Team Stefan or Team Damon, vampires looking to win the heart of their one true love – Elena.
Love triangles in TV shows are nothing new, but none have captivated social media like Belly’s on-and-off relationship with two brothers. When Jenny Han’s teen romance was adapted for the big screen, the audience was immediately choosing sides.
And as The Summer I Turned Pretty nears its end, these love triangles will certainly replace the Belly, Conrad, Jeremiah saga with great ease.

Brooke, Peyton and Luke – One Tree Hill
Chad Michael Murray’s major breakout role as Luke Scott brought a love triangle like no other.
Initially fighting with his half-brother, Nathan, over Peyton, a cheerleader who was more moody than cheer, that love triangle quickly fizzled out.
But that’s where the real drama began.
Spanning multiple seasons and involving infidelity, heartbreak, and the occasional slap, the Brooke, Peyton, and Luke saga was a pivotal storylines on One Tree Hill.
And as a result, it contained some of the best and most emotional scenes from Sophia Bush, who is a delight to movie in this teen drama.

Like mother, like daughter – Gilmore Girls
Both mother and daughter, Lorelai and Rory, found themselves in the middle of love triangles throughout the whole show.
For Lorelai, it was Luke, the handsome safe owner or Christopher, the handsome childhood love.
Rory, on the other hand, had suitors we could only dream of.
Cheeky, rich and Chad Mucheal Murray (yes, it’s an adjective in itself), Tristan pined over Rory in the early seasons before she settled for the boy-next-door, Dean.
But then came the troubled yet well-read Jesse, who began a cultural reset with people still arguing over Team Jesse or Team Dean.
today I am a stucker for a street smart bookworm, but debates over who was a better boyfriend to Rory – Dean or Jeese has never stopped.
But we can all agree it was not Logan.
Eternal love – The Vampire Diaries
Imagine being pined over by two immortal hotties.
That was the life and dilemma for Elena.
A love triangle that transcended centuries, the two Salvatore brothers found themselves forever fighting over to win the heart of Elena or her doppelganger or the original.
The triangle turned into an obscure shape by the later seasons, but the same premise remained – Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder feuding over Nina Dobrev, figuratively, of course.
The Vampire Diaries was a success largely because of Twilight, but unlike Team Edward or Team Jacob, you could never guess who Elena would end up with by the end of each season.
