The publication speculates that the move might have been to entice Beyoncé to attend the award show in case she takes home the award.
Beyoncé has some stiff competition in the category. She’s up against Kendrick Lamar‘s halftime show, SNL 50 which is nominated twice in the category, and The 2025 Oscars.
The category will immediately be part of the September 14 award show, taking place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles as well as airing on CBS and Paramount+.
