A new wine bar is making a big splash atop a brand new hotel overlooking Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood.
Bubble Bath has opened a new location at the new citizenM hotel on Newbury Street — complete with a robust wine and champagne list, plenty of snackable dishes and sweeping views of Boston’s iconic cityscape.
The new spot is the up-to-date by chef and restauranteur Tiffani Faison — and joins her glittery lineup, which also includes the original Bubble Bath location in the Financial District.
Bubble Bath’s Back Bay location — which officially opened on Aug. 6 — builds on the original’s offerings with an expanded wine list and a full cocktail program. The food offerings are centered around shareable bites that manage to pack in premium ingredients (think lobster rolls topped with caviar.)
If you’ve been dying to dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant without leaving the state, you’re in luck — Boston and Cambridge are bringing in the famed reviewers to the city. Here’s why.
The indoor space seats just over 100, and it’s lined with pink and gold accent pieces. The centerpiece, though, is that patio atop the citizenM, which offers a unique vantage point of Boston. Patrons enjoy a view straight up Newbury Street, with a panorama of the city skyline and a bird’s eye shot of the Charles River. Sitting at the peak of a midrange tower, you’re not too high up to feel Boston’s busy atmosphere.
“Bubble Bath was never just about Champagne,” Faison wrote in a statement announcing the new spot’s opening. “It’s about joy, about creating a place where people feel welcome to indulge, celebrate, and connect. At this location, we’ve added more of everything: more views, more bubbles, more beauty and more fun.”
