Monday, October 20, 2025Maple Grove’s largest employer celebrated an expansion on Monday that’s been years in the making.
Boston Scientific opened its newest campus, expanding its med-tech presence in Maple Grove.
Gov. Tim Walz spoke during the ceremonial ribbon cutting event.
“This is a win for Boston Scientific, it’s a win for Maple Grove, it’s a win for Minnesota, but it’s a win for folks around the world who are going to benefit from this technology that improves lives,” Walz said. “And that’s kind of the core of what Minnesota does.”

Politicians and officials with Boston Scientific cut the ribbon outside the company’s new Maple Grove facility.
Located in Maple Grove’s former gravel mining area, the $170 million, 400,000 square-foot facility will house employees working in the company’s cardiovascular division.
There’s office space in the building for more than 1,500 employees.
It adds to the significant presence the company already has in Maple Grove.
“There are really truly few places in the world where industry can come together as we’ve developed here in Maple Grove and as we’ve developed here in Minnesota,” said Maple Grove Mayor Mark Steffenson. “It’s truly incredible.”
The new facility was almost built elsewhere. Maple Grove beat out sites in Massachusetts and Georgia to host the new campus.
