This past weekend, Commissioner Cox, Command Staff, and officers from across the Boston Police Department took part in several Faith & Blue events, connecting with our faith-based communities throughout the city.

Officers from District D-14 kicked off Faith and Blue week by joining members of the local Jewish community at Fuel Coffee in Brighton. The group enjoyed conversations with our officers all while enjoying a fresh cup of coffee!

Officers from District B-3 and the Bureau of Community Engagement joined parishioners at the Greater Love Tabernacle Church for a special Faith & Blue church service. Officers had the opportunity to introduce themselves, meet neighbors, and share in faith and reflection.
St. Cecilia’s Church, Back Bay
Commissioner Cox, Command Staff, Officers from across the Department and Copper the Comfort Dog took part in the annual Blessing of the Animals Mass at St. Cecilia’s Church. The event brought together families and their pets celebrating the bond between people and animals.
Cathedral of the Holy Cross, South End
Members of Command Staff, along with officers from District D-4 and Bureau of Community Engagement, attended Sunday evening Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. During the service, officers were blessed and received small holy crosses that were blessed to ensure safety.
Our Officers will be celebrating Faith and Blue throughout the city, all week. Faith and Blue is a weekend long celebration nationally, but we knew we had more than a weekend worth of Community partnerships to celebrate here in Boston!
