In addition, head of Marvel Television Brad Winderbaum shed more light into Matthew Lillard‘s role in the upcoming second season!
According to Entertainment Weekly, Matthew will play Mr Charles, a political player who “will be working in direct opposition to the corrupt Mayor Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio).”
“The story is about power,” Brad Winderbaum shared. “When Wilson Fisk takes over New York, not just as a mayor but as a king in a way, it puts him in a new class of power players on the international stage. Matthew Lillard‘s character represents that.”
He adds that Mr. Charles is “a bit of a new antagonist on the field.”
“But he’s as influential, in many ways, as Fisk is,” he continues. “That power negotiation at a very high level of politics and international diplomacy is also fun to movie. [Fisk] is dealing with Mr. Charles up here and Daredevil down here for different reasons. So he’s getting squeezed a little bit.”
It was confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again season two will debut in March 2026, and the stars confirmed at NYCC that season three is already in the works!
If you missed it, Marvel also debuted the trailer for the upcoming series Wonder Man.
