
A 4-year-old child suffered serious injuries in a fall from a third-story window in Boston on Monday night.
Boston police said they responded to a report of a 4-year-old child who had fallen from a third floor apartment window on Evans Street around 9:08 p.m. Monday.
Boston EMS also responded to the scene and transported the child to Boston Children’s Hospital with serious, sustained injuries, according to police.
The child remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition, police said.
According to the police report, arriving officers said the child was conscious and lying in bed “with his limbs sprawled out.” The child was reportedly having difficulty breathing and had sustained injuries and swelling on the entire left side of his upper body.
Officers were told that the child had fellen out of the kitchen window from the third floor of the building.
The incident remains under investigation.
