Christian McCaffrey wants to tackle every special moment in fatherhood.
However, his football training has other plans. As the San Francisco 49ers player prepares for the upcoming NFL season, he detailed feeling guilty for leaving his wife Olivia Culpo and their four-week-old daughter, Colette Annalise McCaffrey, for the field.
“I feel guilty at times,” Christian explained in an August 5 interview with the NFL Network. “I’m sleeping well in the hotel bedroom while she’s doing the dirty work. But I’m super thankful for her and she’s doing an incredible job.”
But the running back isn’t always far from his family, as Olivia, 33—who welcomed Colette via C-section in July—and her mom have occasionally traveled to his training camp in California. In fact, the couple’s newborn has “been to a couple practices today.”
