Claudia Jordan welcomed yet another member into the family: a nine-week-old grey kitten she rescued when the kitten was dropped off in front of the shelter inside a cardboard box. The TV star said that the kitten was the runt of the litter, four of the five other siblings were cloned, and through this adoption, a new kind of emotional beginning manifests.

The post gave the story behind these animals. She wrote that they were abandoned and left outside a shelter in a cardboard box along with their four siblings. Sadly, two of them did not survive, which broke her heart; and this one was the runt. The mother cat was nowhere to be found. Jordan then went ahead and intervened with a home of love. She stated she had another cat, a “big old fat cat Sixx,” that could use a companion. The TV personality then asked her followers to name the newest, eliciting a torrent of creative and meaningful suggestions.
The photo in the post depicts a tiny grey kitten with faint stripes being held tenderly. The eyes are wide open with curiosity, and the little paws are stretched ever so gently; it is a soft, silent, and potent moment brimming with hope for the second chance.
Almost immediately, one of the most loving and fitting name proposals took off in comments. User hersoul_isgolden said, “Name her Sevyn so you’ll have Sixx & Sevyn 😍”. The proposal was catchy and fitting as it symbolically and harmoniously paired the new life with the existing one. Others came to support, noting seven as the number of completion in the Bible, giving spiritual significance to the story of the little survivor.
The other suggestions departed from numbers. These focused on the kitten’s grey coloring and suggesting names that emphasized its never-give-up spirit. _moonzpotion offered, “Her Name could be chosen because she made it through all that ❤️”, maybe something like Lucky or Legacy.” Yet another user, godswife07, gave: “Legacy…. she’s one of her Mothers that’s left!!!”, which was a tribute to the lost siblings.
There were some silly suggestions from user kjmidday, like ‘”Paws” Jordan 😍 she look like she’ll put them PAWS on ya 😂’, which lightened the mood a little. Some others went a bit more run-of-the-mill: Bella, Smokey, Shadow – while some were going quite extravagant: Armani, Athena.
What gives me hope in the account of this event is how invested people became in this act of kindness. User honeysworld007 acknowledged the burden of emotion: “I’m glad you were able to heal your heart a bit to get another cat.” So it was beyond naming a pet; it was about honoring survival, compassion, and new beginnings.

Claudia Jordan’s willingness to share this moment makes what could have been only one woman’s personal adoption experience into one of public concern. An adoption story of naming a pet is always a powerful one; here, though, it’s also the story of persistence: the kitten’s and the adoptive owner’s. Whatever the name ends up being-they might just go with Sevyn, Legacy, or something completely off the wall-this little grey kitten has already made her way home.
