Taking to social media this week, Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has revealed her ‘difficult childhood’ experience.
Taking part in a recent AI trend, Samia shared a photo with her ‘younger self.’
She then reflected on her own childhood experiences and how they’ve remained with her through to adult life.

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon opens up on childhood
On Tuesday (September 30), Samia posted a cute snap on Instagram which saw her present day self smiling next to herself as a child with the use of AI.
In the image, little Samia could be seen wearing pigtails and a purple jumper, beaming next to adult Samia who was wearing a black outfit.
Samia Longchambon then got real about her childhood experience, admitting that it was sometimes ‘difficult.’
She shared: “Being honest… This ‘big me with little me’ AI trend got me emotional. Something I’ve never publicly gone into detail about is my childhood. It wasn’t the easiest, and I suppose like a lot of people who have been through difficult home lives as a child, it’s something that can have lasting effects on you as an adult.
“Even though my childhood wasn’t always tough (there were many laughs as well as tears), it made me who I am today… It’s shaped the kind of mother, wife and friend that I am and for that I actually wouldn’t change anything. It’s why I will always appreciate the good things in my life.
“I wish I could hug that smiley little shorty next to me and tell her it’s ok, and that things will turn out better than she could hope for. Sending love to anyone who might relate.”
