Singer D4vd’s (David Anthony Burke) manager, Josh Marshall, has spoken publicly for the first time as speculation swirls around the ongoing Los Angeles investigation connected to the creator.
The statement follows a disturbing “swatting” prank targeting D4vd’s family home in Texas, where police responded to a false report of gunshots. The singer was not present during the incident.
Rumors online intensified after TikTok creator Lauren Brady, known as shorty Town, accused Marshall of involvement in the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The teen was discovered dead in the trunk of D4vd’s Tesla at a Los Angeles impound lot on September 8. Police have not identified any suspects, and D4vd has paused his tour to cooperate with authorities.

Brady’s videos referenced a PopCrimeTV interview with a private investigator that floated several unverified theories. Marshall responded to the viral claims directly, writing, “How dare you say something like this with no facts… This video is false and the person is misinformed.”
In a follow-up comment, Marshall rejected rumors that he lived with D4vd and Hernandez. “I received no emails and I’m no one’s roommate,” he said. “I live full-time at home with my wife and kids… My daughter is 14 and this news is affecting so many lives.”
Marshall added that he works remotely and has special direct contact with the singer. “Let me remind people a lot of this is speculation and alleged,” he said. “Please report on factual information.”
Investigators have not yet determined Hernandez’s cause of death, which remains listed as “deferred.”
