Dhanashree Verma and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal are no more a couple. The couple got married in 2020. In February 2025, Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal filed for divorce. A few months later, court granted them divorce. Initially, Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal kept mum about their split. However, immediately they are openly speaking about what went wrong in their marriage. After Yuzvendra Chahal, it is Dhanahree Verma who has spoken up about their relationship. Dhanashree Verma also responded to the trolls who targeted her. She was also called ‘gold-digger’ for divorce with Yuzvendra Chahal.
Dhanashree Verma’s response to trolls
Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Dhanashree Verma spoke about the social media trolling she faced and being labeled as ‘ex’ of a successful cricketer. To this, she said that people should realise a woman shouldn’t be labelled always. She said that the trolls did affect her but in the long run, it doesn’t matter match. She was quoted saying, “People need to realize. You can’t label the woman always. People don’t know what actually happened and they keep on commenting. Social media trolls do bother me sometimes. But if you talk about the bigger picture, it doesn’t have an impact in the long run.”

In the same chat, Dhanahree Verma also shared what happened on the day of divorce. She shared that she broke down in front of everyone and cried. She said that even though she was mentally prepared for what is coming, she was howling in the court while waiting for the verdict on divorce. She also spoke about the t-shirt worn by Yuzvendra Chahal that had a message saying, “Find your own Sugar Daddy”. She anthem back stating that he could have simply messaged on WhatsApp if he wanted to share a message, he didn’t need to wear the t-shirt. His message had drawn a lot of attention and had also brought a lot of flak for Dhanashree Verma. Both of them have immediately moved on and are focusing on work. Yuzvendra Chahal’s name got linked to RJ Mahavash but both of them have clarified that they are just good friends.
