
The movie world is mourning the loss of beloved actress Diane Keaton.
The actress died in California, according to People.
A spokesperson told the outlet, “There are no further details available at this time, and her family has asked for privacy in this moment of great sadness.”
Many celebrities and fans alike are remembering her extraordinary career and ability to make a role her own as they come to terms with the huge loss for Hollywood.
Bette Midler, Keaton’s co-star in The First Wives Club , wrote on Instagram, “The brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary Diane Keaton has died. I cannot tell you how unbearably sad this makes me. She was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile, or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star. What you saw was who she was…oh, la, lala!”
Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who played Keaton’s daughter in the Father of the Bride movies, shared memories of them sharing the screen.

Piers Morgan penned on X, formerly Twitter, “RIP Diane Keaton, 79. Oscar-winning star of Annie Hall, brilliant in The Godfather and Father of the Bride movies. One of Hollywood’s greatest actresses, and a delightful lady. Sad news.”
Mario Lopez remembered her in one of her biggest roles, posting a behind-the-scenes snap of herself and Al Pacino on the set of The Godfather. “RIP Diane Keaton…” he added.
