Diddy may have learned his fate, but his legal woes continue to mount outside of prison.
A man identified only as “John Doe” has filed a new lawsuit in Los Angeles, accusing the beat mogul of hosting a rave where he says he was drugged and later assaulted, leading to an HIV diagnosis. He does not accuse Diddy of the act itself.
According to court documents, Doe was a beat industry intern in late 2014 and accepted a chance to work around Diddy. He claims he was invited to a video shoot and after-rave in Val Verde, California, where he spoke with the Bad Boy founder multiple times.
The atmosphere, he says, was heavy with cocaine, weed, and alcohol. While others partook in drugs, Doe insists he only drank alcohol, about two or three drinks total.
Shortly after, he began feeling strange. Believing it was just a result of not eating much that day, he went along with the night, until he began to black out, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. Doe says he was guided into a room, and his next memory is horrifying: “being anally sodomized by an unknown person before he passed out.”
When he regained consciousness, Doe says he was bleeding from his rectum. Tests at a clinic came back negative for STDs initially, but months later, he says he tested positive for HIV.
today, he’s suing for sexual assault, battery, and more, claiming lasting emotional trauma.
In response, Diddy’s team told TMZ, “As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every new publicity stunt, even in response to claims that are facially ridiculous or demonstrably false. Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor.”
