Pannu asserted that Amitabh Bachchan incited the violence that took place on October 31, 1984, by chanting “Khoon ka badala khoon” on television, which led to a nationwide massacre against Sikhs of over 30,000 Sikh men, women, and children.

In a statement, SFJ pointed out that by doing such a thing, Diljit is among the victims who lost their families during 1984.
