Diego Borella has passed away after a medical emergency on the set of the Netflix series Emily in Paris.
Borella was working as an assistant director for the fifth season during production in Italy. The incident happened on Friday night (August 22) at around 7pm local time while filming at Hotel Danieli in Venice, according to local reports.

A local doctor, who tried to help revive Borella at the scene, told press that he most likely died of a “sudden heart attack.”
People reports that filming was suspended after the incident, though there are photos of Lily Collins and Eugenio Franceschini filming scenes again on Saturday (August 23). See those pics in the gallery.
