The cast and crew of Emily in Paris are back to work on season five following the tragic death of an assistant director earlier in the week.
Lily Collins was spotted filming a scene on a gondola on Saturday afternoon (August 23) in Venice, Italy.
The 36-year-old actress was joined by co-stars Ashley Park, Eugenio Franceschini, and Paul Forman for the scene.
Two days earlier, the show’s assistant director Diego Borella tragically passed away during a medical emergency that happened while filming at Hotel Danieli in Venice.
“We are deeply saddened to confirm the sudden passing of a member of the ‘Emily in Paris’ production family,” a Paramount Television Studios spokesperson said in a statement to Variety. “Our hearts go out to the individual’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
