Tonight television’s biggest stars gather for the 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which will air this year on CBS (and, for the cord-cutters out there, Paramount+). The show, hosted by first-time emcee Nate Bargatze, promises to crown at least a few first-time winners: Comedy front-runner The Studio only premiered in March, while drama front-runner Severance waited years between its celebrated first season and its even more celebrated second. It all kicks off in the early evening Eastern Time, when stars begin to walk the red carpet. The actual show starts at 8 p.m. ET, lasting until Adolescence has swept up all the awards. (Kidding—we think.)
Vanity Fair is your ticket inside the event, from the carpet to the ceremony, with Rebecca Ford and John Ross reporting live from inside the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. First, prepare for the night ahead by going back over all the nominees and checking out our predictions for who will actually bring home the gold. Then stick around to see our favorite looks, read the best behind-the-scenes gossip, and devour the kind of trenchant commentary you can only get from Vanity Fair. They call TV the small screen—but tonight, we’re going big.
