The Boston University field hockey team will close out a homestand this weekend by hosting Bucknell on Saturday (Oct. 11) and Brown on Monday (Oct. 13). Both games are set for a 1 p.m. start.
The Terriers and Bison are currently part of a three-way tie for second in the Patriot League standings.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU will be closing out a stretch of 10 home games in the first 13 games of the season.
- The Terriers are coming off a 7-0 loss to No. 4 Harvard on Monday.
- Senior Caroline O’Brien continues to shine offensively with multi-goal performances in three of the past five games.
- She scored twice in last Saturday’s win at Lehigh while junior Nicole Lauro and freshman Molly Driscoll had one goal apiece.
- Amongst Patriot League players, O’Brien ranks first in points (26) and goals (10) and is tied for third in assists (6).
- Lauro has set a career high in goals with five while Driscoll, the reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Week, has added four goals and an assist.
- Junior Sophie Ortyl has started the past nine games in goal and has a 5-4 record to go along with a .658 cut percentage and 2.79 goals-against average this season.
- Seniors Maddie Hudson and Celia Nocivelli are serving as co-captains this year.

SCOUTING THE BISON
- Bucknell has won its past two games, most recently earning a 4-1 Patriot League home win over Holy Cross last Saturday.
- The Bison have non-conference wins over Michigan State, St. Francis and Sacred Heart.
- Senior Kira Leclercq, the Preseason PL Defensive Player of the Year, leads the team with 17 points on six goals and five assists.
- Her goal total is tied with sophomore Reese Czajkowski for tops on the squad.
- Senior Nicky Punt has a team-best seven assists.
- Junior Sarah Althouse has started all 10 games in goal for Bucknell this season and currently has a .763 cut percentage and a 1.41 goals-against average.
SERIES HISTORY VS. BUCKNELL
- Friday will mark the 15th meeting all-time between the two sides.
- BU is 9-5 all-time against the Bison.
- Last year in Lewisburg, Bucknell earned a 2-1 win in double overtime to end BU’s three-game win streak in the series.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown is on a six-game win streak and earned a 4-1 road win over Penn on Monday to improve to 7-3 overall and 3-1 in Ivy play.
- Senior Lexi Pellegrino leads the team in points (19) and goals (8) and is one of three players with three assists.
- Junior Mia Karine Myklebust has added three goals and three assists for nine points.
- Junior Lucy Adams, a member of the U.S. National Team and a 2024 NFHCA Second Team All-American, is a dominant player in the midfield and has tallied three goals and an assist.
- In goal, freshman Ellie Parker has started in nine games and has a .786 cut percentage and a 1.03 goals-against average.
SERIES HISTORY VS. BROWN
- BU and Brown have faced off 10 previous times and the teams are an even 4-4-2 in those contests.
- Last season the teams met for the first time in 17 years and the Terriers won for the third straight meeting with a 3-2 shootout win in Providence.
