The Rio Theatre in Vancouver has an unusual event planned where they will be showing ‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’ and a Q&A with the local filmmaking duo, Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein. A perfect and rare combo of being at the doorstep of where the movie was made and enjoying the company of the original creators was on the cards for the night of 25th October.

The up-to-date addition to New Line Cinema’s horror line, the terror-inducing but loveable Final Destination: Bloodlines, is going to be out and everywhere in the city by the middle of October, or more precisely, at the Rio Theatre and the city of Vancouver on 25th with filmmakers Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein coming for a question-and-answer session. The theater went all lovey-dovey about the directors and christened them “local cinema heroes.”
This segment is a prequel that will make you see how the cocktail of Death’s peculiar and intricate justice system is mixed. It revolves around Stefani, a college student who is the object of and has been through the very brutal continuous nightmares when she comes back to her house which turns out to be her grandma Iris who will be the one who will cut and keep her family away from the bloody destiny that is for them. The main actors will be Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and the franchise staple Tony Todd.
One of the posters has already shown the fans of the horror series that they are extremely excited. In fact, when they said “This is going to be a wild ride for all of Vancouver, once again- not on a rollercoaster (of love), but at the best of the Skyview, or on the ground with a shard of glass and a lawnmower!” they right away referred to the franchise’s Vancouver roots.
The majority of people who saw the announcement were not able to maintain their excitement. “OMG!!! i wish I could be there!!” a user commented with crying emojis as he/she vented. Another one, in a more concise manner, disclosed that it was the “favorite movie so far” and used fire emojis to highlight it.
There were some who could not get to be there because of distance. “Nooooo I live in Florida,” was the cry of one of the commenters who was not at all pleased with his/her non-attending being forced. There was also someone who wanted to “Please make a live Q&A it will be a great idea to do that for d…” and was looking for an alternative way to participate in the program.
The post not only got likes but also provoked some doubts about the plot and the way the story would unfold. On the other hand, one of the watchers questioned rather bluntly, “Wait so Stefani and Charlie survived????” and the other viewer, with the same level of intensity here, asked, “Is this the final destination of bloodlines 2?”. This all pointed to some mix-up whether it might be a sequel to a film that hadn’t even been released yet.
The most intellectually demanding of these questions was that they wanted to know about the incomplete characters from the preceding films: “Are stef and charlie’s dad and the prom people dead too? The houses got smashed it never showed what happened to them.” The way the question was phrased gives away the fact that the audience is completely immersed in the story and likes to scrutinize its every aspect.
At least one user found the timing to be spot-on. “2 days after my birthday! Yes!!” was the ecstatic comment of one user as he/she saw the given date and time and wrote that they were waiting for the event which is going to be on October 25th at 8:30 at night.

The Rio Theatre’s announcement signals that the horror franchise that has been giving people the heebie-jeebies for decades is back home. This time through the event with the filmmakers brought back to where the film had been mostly shot, horror fans will not merely get a certain amount of fear—like by watching—but they will also get more fear—like by getting closer to it, the story behind-the-scenes, the director’s eye and the whole Vancouver community enjoying its rightful place in the world of nightmares. Tickets are immediately available through the website of the theatre for what might be a bloody good time.
