
Seriesly Berlin will welcome the likes of Florence Kasumba, Adilkhan Yerzhanov, Jonathan Michiels and Jenifer Heylen later this month.
The second edition of the TV conference will see Black Panther and Tatort actress Kasumba hitting the event as her new show, House of Bellvue premieres. Kazakh filmmaker and Un Certain Regard nominee Yerzhanov (The Gentle Indifference of the World) will attend for the premiere of Kazakh Scary Tales, while Michiels (Shutterspeed) and Heylen (Zillion) are in town for the Oh, Otto! screening.
Serbia’s Ivan Knežević (Die Saat) and actress Anita Ognjanović (The Beheading of St John the Baptist) will join audiences for Absolute Hundred, which is one of several new premieres added to the line up. It follows Ognjanović as a 19-year-old junior shooting champion who takes justice into her own hands whe her brother becomes the target of a local thugs after witnessing a crime.
The other newly announced screenings are French biopic series George, Untamed Spirit, Lukáš Hanulák’s Czech political espionage drama Moloch Times, which we featured as a Global Breakout earlier this year.
Screenings will this year take place at the Colosseum Filmtheater and Fotografiska Berlin along with last year’s venue, Hackesche Höfe Kino, and special screenings will take place at Soho House Berlin. All will be in their original languages with English subtitles.
The Seriesly Berlin Premieres will take place between September 15-18. Deadline is media partner of the event.
