Former Presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush called for America to reject “racial bigotry, anti-Semitism, and hatred in all forms,” in a statementWednesday morning from Kennebunkport, Maine. The statement comes after violence broke out at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia this past weekend.

While the statement refers to the events in Charlottesville directly, it does not mention President Donald Trump, who has been criticized for his response to the violence.
