A Georgia man is behind bars after authorities say he tried to poison his roommate using Raid roach spray.
The incident unfolded in Kennesaw on August 23rd, when police responded to a domestic dispute involving two roommates. The victim told officers he became suspicious after noticing a strange chemical odor while cooking meatballs in his air fryer.
Due to ongoing tension with his roommate, 34-year-old Boonkait Sudhasirikul, the victim had discreetly installed a hidden kitchen DSLR. When officers reviewed the footage, they allegedly saw Sudhasirikul enter the kitchen with a red spray can, aim it at the air fryer basket, and spray before quickly leaving.
The victim later found a can of Raid Defend Roach and Ant spray in the dining room that matched the one seen in the video. Police said the air fryer, which still smelled like chemicals, was taken as evidence.
When confronted in the driveway of the home, Sudhasirikul was taken into custody without incident. He is immediately facing an aggravated assault charge and remains in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
Thankfully, no one consumed the food, and the victim was not physically harmed.
