Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have a lot of history.
And that’s why the model quickly cleared the air surrounding questions about the One Direction alum’s attendance at their daughter Khai’s 5th birthday event.
In the comments section of her Sept. 22 Instagram post dedicated to Khai’s birthday celebration, a fan wrote, “I wish, her dad would also be there,” to which Gigi quickly set the record straight. As she noted, “She was with us both on her birthday.”
Gigi—whose six-year on-again, off-again romance with Zayn ended in 2021—gave her followers a look inside the event in honor of their daughter’s milestone birthday.
The Guest in Residence founder’s photo carousel led with a picture of her snuggling Khai—whose face does not appear on social media—while her long brown hair adorned with multi-colored flowers in her ponytail is on full display.
“Celebrating you is the Best Day Ever, every year,” the 30-year-old wrote in the Sept. 22 Instagram post. “Happy 5th Birthday to the light of my life! You are truly everything so lucky & proud to be your mama!!!!!!! (p.s. 5 HOW ?!?).”
