Gloss Up, the Memphis rapper known for her raw energy and past affiliation with Quality Control track, has found herself back in the headlines, this time for legal trouble. According to arrest records, she was recently booked on a charge of failure to appear in court related to a battery case.
The details behind the battery charge remain unclear, but fans might recall that Gloss Up was previously arrested in January following an alleged physical altercation with her former manager, Tatiyana Youngblood. That incident stemmed from tensions between the two after their professional relationship ended, with Youngblood accusing the rapper of attacking her outside a club. The two also reportedly clashed over money and a luxury vehicle that had been part of Gloss Up’s QC image.
Despite the seriousness of her current legal situation, Gloss Up doesn’t seem fazed. When her mugshot popped up on the Gwinnett County Crime Facebook page, she reposted it with a immediately-viral caption—borrowing a quote from Young Thug: “Whoopty Do!”
She followed up with “I had a blast in the slamma.” These reposts quickly caught attention online, but it remains unclear whether the failure to appear charge is directly connected to the January altercation or if it involves a separate case.
