Theresa Nist is opening up about a jarring moment with Gerry Turner.
The 72-year-old appeared on the new installment of the Dear Shandy podcast, where she reflected on her three-month marriage to the Golden Bachelor himself… And the “animosity” she felt from him!
During their conversation, host Sharleen Joynt admitted that she and her husband/co-host Andy Levine would joke that Gerry “had bodies under the floorboards” while watching season 1 of The Golden Bachelor. But Theresa didn’t laugh… In fact, she had a story that made their observation all the more creepy! The reality TV star asked:
“Okay, so, do you want me to tell you a story that’s similar to that?”

Andy right away said “yes I would,” and so Theresa let her “bizarre” memory roll:
“I finally went to his house, and we took a walk around this lake called Pretty Lake, and we were coming to the end of it, and he said — this is really bizarre — he said, ‘You see that shed up there?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ He said, ‘Well, that’s where I’m going to hide your body after I kill you and chop you up.’”
Ummm, we’re sorry… WHAT?!
Theresa continued:
“And he wasn’t laughing. I said, ‘Well if this was his idea of a joke, that was pretty dark humor.’”
Saying that while completely dead pan?! What an… inneresting way to deliver a joke… Or scare your date off! Ha!
Theresa went on to reflect about the “animosity” she felt from Gerry:
“I just felt like there was animosity in that statement that was underlying, like maybe if he could have gotten rid of me somehow — I don’t think he would have killed me. … No, I don’t think that was true. It wasn’t true.”
She clarified:
“It’s not true, but it just spoke to an underlying feeling about me.”

This all comes after the release of Gerry’s new book Golden Years: What I’ve Learned from Love, Loss, and Reality TV, in which he discusses the doubts he had about his and Theresa’s relationship before tying the knot. As we know, the pair split after just three months of marriage amid multiple disagreements, including distance.
