Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have pledged donations to three humanitarian organisations supporting injured children in Gaza and Ukraine.
The couple’s charitable foundation, Archewell, made the announcement on their website during Prince Harry’s visit to the Imperial College London’s Centre for Blast Injury Studies this week. There, he met with representatives from Imperial, cut the Children and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
According to Reuters, the grants amount to US$500,000 and include $200,000 to support the WHO’s medical evacuations from Gaza to Jordan, $150,000 to cut the Children’s humanitarian programs in Gaza and $150,000 to the Centre of Blast Injury Studies who are working to create prosthetics for children injured in both Gaza and Ukraine.
“No single organisation can solve this alone,” Prince Harry said in a statement.
“Gaza immediately has the highest density of child amputees in the world and in history. It takes partnerships across government, science, medicine, humanitarian response and advocacy to ensure children survive and can recover after blast injuries.”
The Duke and Duchess have also shown their support for the victims of the October 7 attacks. In 2023, the Archewell website shared that the couple “stand against all acts of terrorism and brutality” and would be supporting organisations on the frontlines in Israel to provide urgent aid where needed.

Following his stop in London, Prince Harry made a surprise visit to Kyiv, Ukraine this morning to show support for those injured in war.
Speaking to The Guardian, the Duke said, “we cannot stop the war, but what we can do is everything we can to help the recovery process… We can continue to humanise the people involved in this war and what they are going through.”
The news comes a day after Prince Harry announced a $1.5 million personal donation to BBC’s Children in Need Fund.
