Dame Dash is reflecting on his broken friendship with Jay-Z and claims his former friend and business associate does not look out for people…only himself.
“Homeboy is cold. He doesn’t look out for nobody. Bleek is still so loyal ’cause he understands he still gets a lot of opportunities from him. He just not going to enable him. So, I respect that. But, you know, for me, he also said something like […] he said some slick s–t about me, but I didn’t be offended,” he said on Cam Capone News.
He continued, “His perspective is different from mine. No man’s hand is feeding me. I’m not biting or putting no fingers in my mouth. Pause. I’m the man whose hand they bite.”
The pair reportedly began to part ways around 2003–2004, and their feud deepened when Jay-Z accepted the Def Jam presidency and Roc-A-Fella was sold, cutting Dame Dash out and triggering accusations of betrayal and financial disputes.
Dash addressed rumors online that he is broke after recently filing for bankruptcy.
“If you have debt, you are controlled. Whoever gave you that money is telling you what to do. Period. Investment is one thing. Debt is another,” he said. “I gotta fight because that’s in front of my kids […] I’m fighting for them right today.”
