Heather‘s yacht trip is underway on this episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. It’s the Below Deck crossover we never knew we needed, and Heather reminds us any chance she can that she is “friends” with Captain Jason. But the rocky waters are an enemy to Angie. As she battles seasickness, Lisa battles accusations that she is the face behind the recent Bronwyn leaks.
After weighing the pros and cons of attending the trip, Bronwyn has decided to meet the ladies in Canouan a little later. She clearly needs to wrap her head around the allegations in the headlines before getting bombarded with questions from the group. Identity theft and fraud are pretty serious charges, and Whitney is just surprised that Bronwyn would show her face at all.
Fifteen hours later, they arrive at the “billionaire’s playground.” The yacht is beautiful, and Heather gleefully greets her old pal, Captain Jason. Angie loves on the crew, warning them that they will be working hard with this group. Lisa wastes no time throwing shade about Angie, stating she is used to RV living, but Angie is not innocent. She muses whether she should avoid Lisa altogether or “stand next to her” to make her “ankles look smaller.” OMG.
The hot men with big muscles are blowing boy-lit-Britani’s mind, and it is clear that there is zero chance of her ever putting her children before a guy. Britani is currently ogling Captain Jason, staking her claim and letting the group know she is on a 30-day break with Jared. (We later learn this is untrue since he came to help her pack before the trip…) The women instate a new rule on deck: Any time Britani says the name Jared, she gets splashed with water… and no one is more excited to do this to her than Meredith…
Bronwyn makes her grand entrance onto the yacht via boat, and she is a bit worried about how this trip may shake out, especially with Todd’s warning hanging over her head. Lisa knows that Bronwyn has a lot on her plate right immediately, but she kinda loves that karma is biting Bronwyn in her a*s. You see, Bronwyn loved dragging Lisa for her lawsuits, and immediately, according to Lisa, Bronwyn is getting a taste of her own medicine with these headlines. Lisa wonders why Bronwyn came for her “so hard” when she had “icky skeletons in her closet.” Interesting…
In the quarters, Angie explains to Mary that she is starting to get a bit seasick, and Britani unpacks her Build-A-Bear unicorn stuffie from Jared, complete with a recording of his voice. It should be noted that he says “you are loved” on the recording and not “I love you.”
Lisa and Meredith discuss Bronwyn’s entrance. Meredith wonders if Bronwyn will bring up all of the allegations. The thing is, Bronwyn feels as though someone in the group is planting these stories. She talks to her roommate, Britani, about her theories, and she brushes off the manipulative headlines. They are a way to discredit her as a person, but she admits she HAS made mistakes. For instance, she was evicted from the apartment she lived in back in her BYU days.
Bronwyn tries to clear up the more recent case noted in the leaks. This is a sealed case, so she cannot go into great detail; however, felony, grand theft, and identity theft all fall under the penal code it was filed under. These upsetting headlines have rocked her family, and she wants to figure out who leaked them.
Angie gets sick right before lunch, but she tries to power through. Whitney prods Bronwyn to see if everything is okay, considering the current news. When asked about the timeline of the allegations, Bronwyn clarifies that 20 years ago, there was a judgment brought against her for not paying her rent. There are NO charges brought against her from four years ago, and you won’t find a mugshot or police record of the instance.
According to Bronwyn, there was something going on at her work that she cooperated with, but the case is sealed. Bronwyn feels like the nastiness that has recently come out in the press might have been done by someone directly in the group. As the saying goes, “a guilty conscience needs no accuser.” Lisa takes the bait.
Lisa’s defensiveness is starting to smell fishy. She essentially outs herself. It’s like, tell us you did it without telling us you did it, Lisa. But Lisa claims she is simply irritated that accusations keep swirling, and she refuses to take the blame. She is heated and p*ssed and starts to sweat.
Post lunch, the ladies get into the water. Heather tells Britani that she has “f*cked around before [with Captain Jason]. There’s nothing there,” but in her confessionals, Heather denies this and is beyond embarrassed. I’m sorry, what?!
The deckhand has to head out to slash the floaters, and Angie barfs right there on the paddleboard. Angie is so sick, but according to Lisa, “She’s so full of it, she makes her own self sick.” Spoken like a GREAT friend.
While Britani flirts with anyone with a pulse, Whitney and Bronwyn chat about the lunch. Bronwyn’s gut is telling her that Lisa is the reason these allegations resurfaced. Lisa appears not to even be hiding her involvement. She referred to Bronwyn as Con-wyn, a nickname that also happens to appear in some nasty tweets. (According to the video footage, Lisa calls Bronwyn “fraud-wyn,” but that’s neither here nor there, really.)
Lisa has done this to everyone, according to Whitney. Every time Lisa is mad at someone, information leaks about them. Heather actually agrees with Whitney, despite being Lisa’s bff. Lisa is mad about Bronwyn and wants her history exposed. When Angie dropped that Lisa had given her names to dig up stuff on Meredith, it all adds up. According to Heather, all of this tea was leaked by Lisa.
Whitney goes to grab Meredith to get to the bottom of this mystery. Whitney reminds Meredith that when Lisa hated Whitney, stuff leaked. immediately that Lisa is at odds with Bronwyn, Meredith puts two and two together that Lisa may be engaging with the press. Heather goes on to say, “We were talking about Lisa’s lawsuits and immediately we aren’t talking about them anymore.”
Meredith states that, if it is true, it would be a big problem. Meredith plays it safe and will neither confirm nor deny if she thinks Lisa did this to Bronwyn. Meredith is willing to give Lisa the opportunity to see what she has to say.
Captain Jason pays a visit to Angie’s quarters to check on her seasickness. In the meantime, the rest of the group heads to dinner. However, Mary chooses to stay with her bestie shorty and eat in the room, a smart move on her part. You know it’s bad if staying with a barfing friend is the better option here.
Britani claims she is the only one who says things to people’s faces. However, Bronwyn points out that Britani has chosen to leave out her issues with some of the others, i.e., Meredith and Lisa. According to Britani, Lisa big-sisters her, and Meredith pretends to have seizures, and Britani thinks it’s an act. OMG. Meredith stands up and throws water on Britani, and in retaliation, Britani throws water on Meredith. Did I miss Britani saying Jared this time or…?
Meredith is disgusted by Britani’s word choices, but Britani thinks Meredith dislikes her because she is not afraid of her. Meredith is sick of Britani’s lies and recordings, reminding her of all the nasty things she has done. Bravo to Bronwyn for getting the target off her back.
Heather suggests that the women begin to own things at the table. Of course, Meredith leaves it to Whitney and Heather to confront Lisa for the leaks. Heather takes a deep breath and states that she thinks Lisa is the “source of all the dirt.”
Lisa looks appalled and wonders why everyone is always questioning her. She screams that she is not the source. Lisa refers to herself as the “don of Salt Lake City” and tells the group that everyone just tells her things.
Lisa storms over to Heather and confronts her, wondering what kind of friend she is for thinking that. Lisa tells the group, “You’re lucky I f*cking talk to any of you,” and Heather claims she has been a good friend to Lisa (yet she started this whole thing so…). Lisa goes off on Meredith, telling her she had better have stood up for her. As the dessert gets brought out, the ladies holler, making things awkward.
Lisa refuses to admit to something she never did, but she looks backed into a corner. She reminds the ladies that the Bronwyn info is all over the internet. Lisa tells Heather she can no longer be her friend because of the accusations Heather is making, but Heather continues to call Lisa out by stating, “You’re spinning it, you moron.” Lisa is the one making this so much worse!
In the heat of the moment, Heather tells Lisa to get off the yacht, all while the chef attempts to chat with the group about their meal. No such luck. Lisa almost grabs Heather by the neck, and they break away from the rest of the group, shrieking and yelling at each other.
Lisa tearfully calls John and storms off, but Heather is hot on her heels. She follows Lisa downstairs, which begs the question, WHY? Heather brought this to light. Lisa thought she was back on track with Heather, but she needs to reassess their friendship.
A hyperventilating Heather pops in to talk to Angie and Mary. They back Heather, telling her she is brave, and it’s “game over” for Lisa immediately. Mary and Angie coach Heather, stating they all know Lisa is the source. Heather walks off, claiming she will “carry the message” to Lisa from all of them… Is someone going to wind up overboard?
