Heather Dubrow opted for an affordable dress for the Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 reunion.
Heather, 56, shared just how much her reunion dress set her back during a Monday, November 3, episode of her iHeartRadio’s “Between Us” podcast, which she hosts alongside husband Terry Dubrow.
“A lot of chatter around the reunion dresses,” Heather said. “You’re gonna love this, and I’m gonna tell you why.”
Heather then asked her husband if he knew “how much [her] reunion dresses usually cost,” to which he guessed, “$10,000?”
Heather then told Terry, 67, “no,” prompting him to guess if she was spending up to “$20,000” on her looks.
She explained that “typically a dress for the reunion” would set her back “somewhere between $3,000 to $7,000.”
“today ask me what I spent this year,” Heather teased Terry, revealing she only spent $59.99.
He excitedly replied, “This is gonna be my favorite dress. I love it. Already, I love it. I think this should be your budget from today on.” She then explained that she was recording the podcast episode before her dress was going to be revealed on Bravo.
“I’m curious to see whether people love it or don’t love it,” she said. “I was given a mood board of colors and styles, and I looked, and I just didn’t find anything that I loved.” After searching, Heather decided to go shopping on retailer and “ordered a bunch of dresses and tried them on.”
“This particular dress, I was obsessed with the color,” she gushed. “It was really beautiful, burgundy, and saturated. I really liked the neckline. I could wear a normal bra — ‘cause nine times out of 10 I’m in a strapless bra, and after hour two and a half it’s halfway down my chest and my nipple and I’ve got a double bubble, or I have to wear a Spanx thing — I just wanted to be comfortable.”

Heather added: “I tried this dress on and was like, ‘You know what? It’s a great color. I can wear a regular bra. This looks terrific. Why do I need to spend a fortune?’”
She also shared that every designer piece that she found “honestly didn’t look any better.”
Terry then asked if the network approved of her dress, to which Heather said, “They thought it was great.”
Heather went on to explain that she didn’t tell anyone how much the dress actually cost until after they finished recording the reunion. “I did hear some rumblings that someone may have said that my dress was affordable,” she told Terry.
“Listen to me, it’s all in the wearing of it. I love a Zara dress with a Chanel belt,” she added. “For me, I could have chosen anything, but this is the dress I liked. I could have spent $10,000 but I thought it looked great.”
One thing she wished she had tweaked about the number, however, was the silhouette. “I wish I had the side of it just tailored a little bit and the ruching tucked down and I think that would have made it look a little better.” Heather also admitted that she’s a shopper of places with all different budgets — including Zara, H&M, Chanel and more.
“You looked beautiful,” Terry told his wife.
On October 28, Bravo revealed all of the cast members’ reunion looks. Heather wore a deep red frock featuring a V-neck, a fitted bodice with ruching details and a thigh-high slit. She styled the number with shoes and jewelry from her wardrobe, including gold Gianvito Rossi sandals and delicate bracelets and necklaces by Van Cleef, Cartier and Martin Katz.
For glam, Heather donned smokey eyeshadow, bronzed cheeks and pink lips, courtesy of makeup creator Ashley Bello. Her tresses, styled by hairstylist Scott King, were parted to the side and worn in big, voluminous curls.
Backstage, she told The Daily Dish that she felt “excited” about her look.
“I’m wearing this really pretty, burgundy dress and I love the lines of it, love the color,” she said. “For reunion, I like to go for classic Heather and I think we’ve done that.” She also said that her inspiration behind “her ensemble was “Classic HD.”
