Amitabh Bachchan shares his ageing realities
Amitabh Bachchan, who is renowned for his perseverance and discipline, recently posted a note about the realities of ageing on his blog. Big B acknowledged that even at 82, simple things like putting on pants and utilising handle bars around the home immediately take more attention and effort. At this age, doing even simple tasks is getting harder.
Big B’s daily regimen immediately consists of…
On August 17, following his monthly Sunday fan meet, Big B blogged about how his daily regimen immediately consists of mobility exercise, yoga, and medications. “The body gradually begins to lose its balance and there is a need to work on it to check and improve,” he shared.
Mr Bachchan also acknowledged that once-simple tasks immediately need vigilance. “Doctors advise, please Mr Bachchan, sit down and wear trousers, do not try to stand while putting them on, you could lose balance and fall,” he revealed.
Easy things have immediately become tough
Bachchan considered how easy things had become, like stooping to pick up a paper. “Handle bars… oh boy… you need them all over to hold and steady thy body before any physical act,” he wrote.
Bachchan pointed out that aging is a common occurrence, even if he acknowledged that his readers would find his remarks humorous. He emphasised, “IT SHALL HAPPEN TO ALL OF US,” adding philosophically that although youth overcomes obstacles at a breakneck pace, ageing compels one to sit down.
